Free Tattoo Designs

If you are looking for ways to find free tattoo designs, then you have come to the right place. Here are a few places where you can find ideas and inspiration for your next tattoo.

1. Tattoo Parlor - Tattoo parlors have a wide variety of tattoo designs on display. They usually display their completed tattoos on the walls, and also have albums that you can browse through.

The best thing about looking through tattoos at a tattoo parlor is that the pictures are usually taken after they are placed on skin, so you can see what the finished tattoo looks like. A downside is that since many tattoo parlors have been around a long time, the designs they have on display are older and may be out of style.

2. Free tattoo designs websites online - Their are a large number of free sites that have tattoo designs online. They are free and can give you an idea of various tattoo designs. The tattoo images on these free sites are usually very simple, so if you are looking for a unique detailed design, than a free site may not be the best place to look. On the other hand if you are just looking for a very simple design, you might find it on one of these sites.

3. Online Tattoo Gallery - I know that we are talking about places to find free tattoo designs, but I thought I'd mention pay sites just to give you another option if you so choose. Their are galleries online that have current stylish designs, but they usually charge a fee for their services.

You usually pay a fee for membership and you get access to their wide assortment of tattoo designs. What's great about these sites is they have all the tattoo designs in one place, so you don't need to scour the net. On the flip side you do have to pay though. Not a bad choice if you have the extra money.

4. Online Image Sites - Sites such as Flickr are online image communities where people put up photos and images to share with other people. This is a great place to find quality tattoo designs, because people put up high quality photos of their completed tattoos. This is one of my personal favorite places to look for free tattoo designs.

5. Your own life - That's right you don't even need to go out your door to find the next idea for your next tattoo. Your tattoo is meant to be personal expression of yourself.

One of the first things you should do is to list your life qualities that are important to you. What traits are important to you? Perseverance, independence, companionship; or maybe their is an event or experience that has had a major impact that you would like to document. Maybe even a person who has touched your life deeply that has passed.

Make sure when you do choose your tattoo that you choose one that you has meaning to you or whose style you enjoy. You want your tattoo to have the same meaning to you 10 years from now, than when you first got it.
